What to look for in chip cones
- Paper or wood. The Newspaper Printed Paper Cones are paper, with a newspaper print design. The Pinewood Serving Cones are wooden, with natural wood grain.
- Size, and the size names. The paper cones come in Small (14 x 10 x 5cm), Medium (18 x 13 x 7cm) and Large (22 x 16 x 9cm). The pinewood cones come in Medium (12 x 9 x 5cm), Large (18 x 13 x 7cm) and Extra Large (24 x 17 x 9cm). The names do not line up: a paper Medium and a pinewood Large are the same listed size. Other sizes appear on the variant list when they are in stock.
- Temperature and grease. The paper cones' page lists them for hot and cold foods and for dry and fried items, and calls them grease-resistant and moisture-resistant. The pinewood cones' page calls them grease-resistant and temperature safe up to 100°C. Both pages list the cones as food-grade certified.
- After service. The pinewood cones' page lists them as 100% biodegradable and fully compostable. Both pages recommend single use.
- Pack size and cost per 100. Both come in packs of 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000. The table gives the 100 and 1,000 prices for each size above, smallest first.

To stand cones upright, the pinewood cones' page suggests pairing them with our cone stands, such as the Long Wooden 6-Hole Cone Stand, six holes in a line, or the round 10-hole Wooden Cone Stand, whose page says: "These trays are only compatible with our small or medium cones."
