Questions
Can palm leaf plates go in the microwave or oven?
We've tested them in the microwave for 2 minutes at 800W and in the oven for 30 minutes at 180°C. They aren't suitable for direct use in a fire.
Are they the same as bamboo plates?
No. Bamboo plates are made from cut bamboo, often glued in sheets. Ours are made only from fallen areca palm leaves, with no adhesives.
Are palm leaf plates sturdy?
Yes. Palm leaves are naturally strong and heat pressing makes them stronger. They are stronger than most plastic and paper plates, and you can hold your food with one hand.
Can I get trade prices on bulk orders?
Yes. Send your details and what you need on our Wholesale Pricing page and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. For a faster answer, call or WhatsApp 01707 502 772.
